According to a new report by the FBI, Colorado ranks as the 8th worst state for violent crime in the country. Violent crime is a broad category that consists of four types of the most serious offenses: robbery, rape, aggravated assault, and homicide. In Colorado, there were 23,481 violent crimes reported in 2021 — 404 for every 100,000 people. Jared Polis’ bad policies are keeping bad people OUT of jail, impacting our communities and leading to higher crime rates. This is the Polis Tax on our communities.
