60% of kids in Colorado can’t read or write at grade level. With close to $250,000 going to every classroom in Colorado and a bit over $50,000 going to the teacher, we are left with $200,000 left. Where is the money going? Administrative bloat it seems.
According to the Common Sense Institute, since 2011, the number of students has gone up 25% in Colorado, while the number of administrators has gone up 132%. We are not getting a good return on our investment in education. This is the Polis Tax on our education system.
